UPCOMING EVENTS My next scheduled event will take place on March 7, 2010. I am working with Reverend Rhonda Arias/Oil of Joy Ministries (www.oilofjoyformourning.org). Myself and others will be going to Plane State Prison in Dayton, Texas to minister to the women there. There will be a 2 hour chapel service that will include worship, anointed preaching, and hopefully ample time to speak and pray with the women one on one. I am also in prayer about accepting Rev. Rhonda's request to be her co-leader for a 4-week abortion recovery group that will be held in West Houston beginning March 22, 2010, with a 3-day healing retreat to follow that is held 1 hr. north of Houston. Another prison outreach is planned for June 2010 in Gatesville, Texas. Exact date at this time is unknown. I am a full-time caregiver and the person I take care of is only able to pay me a little bit each month when she gets her Social Security. Since I am living on a fixed income, I need to raise funds to take part and travel to these upcoming opportunities and commitments. I need help with gas money ($16) and meals ($14) for each Dayton service every other month/1st Sunday; gas money ($34 for 4 trips + $16 for 3-day healing retreat) for the West Houston group; and help with gas money ($95), hotel ($129), and meals ($40) for the upcoming Gatesville services. I also need help paying for my ministry PO Box ($36 every 6 months) & need stamps or funds for stamps to mail out correspondence (I think they are $8.80 for 20). Gift cards for fast food restaurants & gas cards are also a great way to contribute. Please go to the 'Make a Donation' page for further info. If you have any questions, please email me by going to the 'Contact Us/Prayer Request' page. Whether or not you are able to make a contribution, please keep myself and these events in your prayers. Thank you & God bless you. ---------- UPDATE FROM JANUARY 17 & 18, 2010 Bound4LIFE - Prayer Rally and March Event Houston, Texas My last event was January 17 & 18, 2010. In working with Bound 4 Life (www.bound4life.com), I took part in The Call Prayer Rally and March Event here in Houston, Texas. Thousands gathered to pray, fast and peacefully siege the massive injustice of Planned Parenthood building the world's 2nd largest abortion facility here in Houston. There was a silent march through the streets to the Planned Parenthood site (set to open in March 2010), a nationwide press conference and silent prayer stand. Me in front of Planned Parenthood Building The Justice Foundation Crew Bound4LIFE Crew We prayed and believed in agreement that this facility will not shed blood, but it will instead be used as a facility for healing and life. I believe we have made and are making a difference. Believe with me that abortions WILL NOT take place here. This is a slide show from pictures taken at the event. ---------- UPDATE FROM JANUARY 3, 2010 Myself and several others worked with Rhonda Arias/Oil of Joy to minister to women at Plane State Prison in Dayton, Texas. This was a 2 hr. chapel service where we had an opportunity to worship, be fed the Word from Rhonda, receive communion, and have 1 on 1 interaction with some of the women. ---------- UPDATE FROM NOVEMBER 1, 2009 Myself and several others worked with Rhonda Arias/Oil of Joy to minister to women at Plane State Prison in Dayton, Texas. View Prison in Gatesville, Texas. The first portion of the day we went cell to cell, ministering to hurting hearts. The latter portion of the day was spent in an atmosphere of the love of Christ in the prison chapel, where we had the opportunity to worship the Lord with the wonderful women of Mt. View and received a word from the Lord from powerful preacher Rhonda Arias. She left us with the covenant word, the Lord will always come back around for us. this was Rhonda Arias' group for the day ... I'm 3rd from the right ---------- UPDATE FROM APRIL 14-16, 2009 @ ATLANTA, GEORGIA:
Hope for Life 2009 National Conference Organized by Operation Outcry, A project of The Justice Foundation in cooperation with Georgia Right to Life
I worked with Operation Outcry who hosted the event as well as attended some of the classes for learning purposes. This is myself (right) and Karen Bodle (left) holding the banner that led the march to the courthouse. Seated is Sandra Cano (bottom left) the Doe of Doe v. Bolten companion case to Roe v. Wade, and Lisa Dudley (bottom right) the Operation Outcry Director & Parallegal for the Justice Foundation. It was a monumentous occasion as the governor of Georgia (Sonny Perdue) declared April 18 (the day we were there) as Hope for Life day. Left to right is Myra Myers, State Team Leader for Texas - Operation Outcry, Allan Parker, President & Founder of The Justice Foundation, and Molly White, Founder & Director of Redeemed for Life, Inc. & Women for Life International, Inc. ---------- UPDATE FROM JANUARY 24, 2009: The 2009 Texas Rally for Life was the largest ever, thanks to all those who promoted and attended this rousing event!Thousands marched from Republic Square to the South Steps of the Capitol on January 24, chanting and holding signs that encouraged legislators to pass bills that help women and men "Choose Life," not death, for their unborn children. One of the featured speakers was Gov. Rick Perry, who has signed more pro-life bills into law than any governor in Texas, strongly encouraged the crowd (and legislators!) to stand strong in the face of a pro-abortion national government. He urged everyone to support current pro-life legislation in Texas such as the Choose Life license plate bill (H.B. 109) and efforts to fund morally sound adult stem cell research (S.B. 73). (Sign the Choose Life license plate petition online!)----------UPDATE FROM NOVEMBER 8, 2008 EVENT:I worked with The Justice Foundation (www.thejusticefoundation.org) and Operation Outcry (www.operationoutcry.org) at their annual fund raising event. It was called 'The Justice Foundation's 2008 Annual Life in the West Gala' in San Antonio. The evening's 'Amazing Grace' theme commemorated how William Wilberforce helped to eliminate slavery in the British Empire in the 1800's and the many parallels between his lifelong battle and the struggle of the pro-life movement today. Ken Wales, Producer of the movie 'Amazing Grace' (2007) was the Keynote Speaker. Other special guests were Mike Schnabel (Lessons from the Roundpen Ministries) & a representative from the 'Belle' (2007) movie team. Some Operation Outcry workers also spoke, sharing their testimonies. There was a feel of anticiation in the air as we united as one for the cause of the unborn. Close to my heart was near the closing of the evening, when we sang, 'Amaging Grace'. And it really is ... Amazing Grace.----------UPDATE FROM JULY 30 - AUGUST 1, 2008 EVENT: In working with Operation Outcry, I shared my testimony on a taping of their television/radio program 'Faces of Abortion' (which you can see later on Operation Outcry's website (www.operationoutcry.org) or on SkyAngel). It is scheduled to air sometime this fall. The episode that I speak on will be #516. The shooting was an awesome experience. Wish you could have been there. The Christian TV Station (KPLE-TV in Killeen, TX) and it's owner Katherine were great. The people were awesome and so down to earth. So many stories of hurting women, pouring out their hearts in a unified plea to just say no to abortion. Thank ya'll so much for all ya'lls support and prayers. Couldn't have done it without ya'll! Note to Operation Outcry/Faces of Abortion Crew: Thank you everyone for sharing and praying with myself and my assistant. For helping us to feel welcomed, loved and valuable. A special thank you to Tracy, Lisa, Cindy, and Allan for the opportunity. ---------- I am praying for each and every one of you and also love and appreciate you. Remember me and the ministry in your prayers - for provision, protection, and for the Lord to speak through me and use me.
God bless you, Nona Ellington | |
