WHEN DOES HUMAN LIFE BEGIN?

Life begins at conception:

“For I was born a sinner- yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.” (Psalms 51:5)

Holy Conception:

“....Joseph, son of David, the angel said, do not be afraid to go ahead with your marriage to Mary. For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 1:20)

God knows each individual before conception:

“The Lord gave me a message. He said, I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world.” (Jeremiah 1:4-5)

“Long ago, even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.” (Ephesians 1:4)

WHERE DOES LIFE BEGIN?

Human life begins in the womb (uterus):

“God's ways are as hard to discern as the pathways of the wind, and as mysterious as a tiny baby being formed in a mother's womb.” (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

“Yet you brought me safely from my mother's womb and led me to trust You when I was a nursing infant.” (Psalms 22:9)

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous- and how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” (Psalms 139:13-16)

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS IN THE UNBORN AND RESPONDS TO GOD

“....And you are to name him John, for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or hard liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth.” (Luke 1:13,15)

“At the sound of Mary's (mother of Christ) greeting, Elizabeth's child (John the Baptist) leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” (Luke 1:41)

CHILDREN ARE A GIFT FROM THE LORD AND THEY MUST BE PROTECTED

“There are six things the Lord hates- no, seven things He detests:

haughty eyes,

a lying tongue,

hands that kill the innocent,

a heart that plots evil,

feet that race to do wrong,

a false witness who pours out lies,

a person who sows discord among brothers.” (Proverbs 6:16-19)

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live!” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” (Psalms 127:3)

“But the Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground!” (Genesis 4:10)

“You must not murder.” (Exodus 20:13)

“He will redeem them from oppression and violence, for their lives are precious to him.” (Psalms 72:14)

“But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace...” (Galatians 1:15)
